Become a Coach

Coaches are the heart of our program! Each season, two or more volunteer coaches inspire and guide a team through our tried-and-true curriculum. If you're ready to directly make an impact, then this role is for you.

Become a junior Coach

Junior Coaches are needed to inspire the next generation! Our Junior Coach program is for high school girls aged 16 to 18. Beyond serving as a role model to program participants, Junior Coaches work alongside Coaches, strengthening their leadership skills and gaining a sense of belonging and purpose.

Superstar Supporter

Would you like to support a Girls on the Run team, but can't commit to being a GOTR Coach? Get your feet wet, and get a glimpse of our transformative youth program by assisting our amazing coaching teams at a minimum of 4 practices plus your team's 5K event as a Superstar Supporter!

Project or Skill-Based Opportunities

Our council is seeking volunteers who can support on a project-by-project basis. Our current needs are: graphic design, photography and videography. In particular we're always seeking photographers and other specialized volunteer roles at our 5Ks each season. 

Group Opportunities

Are you part of a group or organization that wants to make an impact on our community? Girls on the Run would love to have you get involved with our program. Here are few ways you can make a difference while working together.

  • Volunteer together at a Girl on the Run 5K event – from cheer teams to water stations to handing out medals at the finish line and more – there are numerous ways for you to help bring this joyful end of season celebration to life!
  • Support with one-day volunteer opportunities.
  • Volunteer for or financially support a team for a season.
